The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has updated their outlook for the remainder of the 2021 and also for the next year. The global economy is expected to rise by 5,8 %.

Regarding the year 2022 the global economy should be growing by 4,4 %, while the GDP growth of Czech Republic should increase to 4,9 %. The relatively bright outlook corresponds with the up to now successful vaccination programme as well as supportive government schemes for the economic rebuild according to the OECD. Nevertheless, the growth will remain uneven and will vary depending on the public health measures and policy support. Even though Czech Republic has relatively slower pace of recorded vaccinations so far, the Czech’s economy should additionally boost its recovery once the vaccination rates are higher in the second half of the year.
