The western trend of green banking is penetrating the Czech Republic. E15 says that domestic banks admit that in this respect, they are only copying the strategy of their parent multinational groups. The daily also states that while a year ago, banks did not want to finance only investments in coal, now some of them are no longer willing to lend to entire energy holdings if they are too dependent on coal. According to E15 sources, the parent companies of the banks are forced into green policy by multinational investment equity funds, within which investors do not trust coal and rationally calculated that this source ended in Europe.
