Czech Academy of Sciences to cooperate with United States Department of Energy

The Czech Republic and the United States are deepening their collaboration in the field of science and technology by agreeing to establish and develop ties between their research teams with the vision of further advancement of energy related research fields. The first project agreement has been signed by the Director of the Institute of Plasma Physics of the CAS, Radomír Pánek, and has laid a foundation for simple and straightforward collaboration on future projects. The American party has expressed strong interest in Czech laser technology and is interested in being involved in ELI and HiLASE projects led by the CAS. Czech lasers have a wide range of possible use cases, ranging from new material development to optics and energetics.
