The revision of the TEN-T pan-European rail backbone network foresees the elimination of those links located in Russia and Belarus.

On the other hand, it foresees the inclusion of transport corridors in Ukraine and Moldova, including the possibility of switching to standard gauge. The proposal was discussed by the Transport Council at its informal meeting in Prague.

According to the Czech Transport Ministry, the ministers agreed that despite rising energy prices, it is necessary to continue further electrification of railways.
