GoodData, a global analytics company of the Czech-born founder Roman Stanek, announced an investment from Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments. Visa enters the company not only as an investor, but also as a strategic partner. GoodData is a provider of the BI tools in the form of SaaS, which was established in 2007. Ever since, the company has brought investments from many well-known names such as Tim O'Reilly, Esther Dyson, Marc Andreessen, Ben Horowitz, General Catalyst Partners, Andreessen Horowitz or Fidelity Growth Partners Europe. “We’re extremely pleased to have Visa as an investor and partner in our mission to help companies of any size to become data companies,” says Roman Stanek, GoodData Founder, and CEO. “Visa’s investment will allow us to increase our focus on interactive self-service analytics, user interfaces and data visualizations, as well as expand our customer support for managing complex data governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and privacy matters.” The exact amount of investment has not been disclosed.
