Governor Jim Justice, Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin, among other West Virginia and U.S representatives joined officials from KKCG in the official opening of US Methanol in Institute, West Virginia.
Located in Institute, the facility known as Liberty One, is expected to produce 200,000 metric tons of high-quality organic methanol annually. Methanol is used to manufacture electronics, silicone sealants, building materials, plastics, polymers, and medicine.
With an investment of more than $250 million, the plant provided almost 60 new jobs.
US Methanol was founded by KKCG in 2016, recognizing West Virginia as a competitive manufacturing location with abundant natural resources, and a pro-business environment.
Presented by the team of employees of CzechTrade Chicago, USA.
