KKCG of Karel Komarek and Its Subsidiary US Methanol Celebrate Opening of Methanol Manufacturing Facility in West Virginia

KKCG and US Methanol celebrated opening of a new facility in Institute, West Virginia. This facility is expected to produce 200, 000 metric tons of organic methanol annually, creating almost 60 new jobs. Opening celebrations were attended by US representatives including US senator Manchin, and governor Justice.

Governor Jim Justice, Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin, among other West Virginia and U.S representatives joined officials from KKCG in the official opening of US Methanol in Institute, West Virginia.


Located in Institute, the facility known as Liberty One, is expected to produce 200,000 metric tons of high-quality organic methanol annually. Methanol is used to manufacture electronics, silicone sealants, building materials, plastics, polymers, and medicine.


With an investment of more than $250 million, the plant provided almost 60 new jobs. US Methanol was founded by KKCG in 2016, recognizing West Virginia as a competitive manufacturing location with abundant natural resources, and a pro-business environment.
