Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic: Scientists using AI to research COVID-19

Researchers from Masaryk University (MU) are using computer biochemistry, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning principles to research illness COVID-19. Together with researchers from the International Center for Clinical Research at St. Anna’s Teaching Hospital in Brno (FNUSA-ICRC) they are with the help of their own software CaverDock researching a protein that is key in the spread of the virus in organisms. The experts conducted several simulations of changes to the molecular structure of this protein to find out which existing drug could be the most effective.
