Ball Beverage Packaging, which manufactures recyclable aluminum
cans, is looking to raise awareness of the company as well as
recruit 25 highly skilled workers for the new plant. It will be built in
the Borská Pole industrial zone in Plzeň, close to the Panasonic
factory. The latter has announced the layoff of hundreds of workers.
Director Radek Mádr said they will be interested in Panasonic's core
employees because they are used to commuting to the area for
work. They are also currently looking for colleagues for their existing
plant in Dýšina. The company will invest about CZK 4.5bn in the
construction of the new plant and plans to start operations in 2023.
Ball plans to continue recruiting during 1H 2022, when it will look for
about 175 more employees for the Plzeň plant.
