Investors in the Czech Republic traded CZK 1.1bn worth of
cryptocurrencies in Q1 2022. This is roughly half as much as in the
same period of 2021 during the so-called bitcoin rush. Bit.plus CEO
Martin Stránský specified that the largest volume of trades
continues to be bitcoin and ethereum. Although the volume of
trades lagged behind last year, the interest has started to gradually
increase, which is also related to the gradual increase in the bitcoin
exchange rate to more than USD 47,000 at the end of March. Then
came the decline to USD 40,000.
