The IMF has improved the outlook for the Czech economy, estimating this year's growth at 1.1%.
The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Czech Republic will increase by 1.1 percent this year after last year's decrease of 0.1 percent, predicts the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its autumn outlook for the world economy. It thus improved it‘s April forecast, in which the predicted growth was 0.7 percent for the Czech economy this year. Next year, the monetary fund expects GDP to rise by 2.3 percent, while in April it predicted growth of 2 percent.
The IMF's outlook for the growth of the Czech economy this year is now in line with the August forecast of the Czech Ministry of Finance. The ministry is still a little more optimistic about next year, with the predicted GDP increas by 2.7 percent according to its August forecast.
