Sales of new passenger cars in the Czech Republic increased year-on-year.
Sales of new passenger cars in the Czech Republic increased by 2.65 percent year-on-year to 171,999 vehicles in last three quarters. It increased by six percent in September only. Thanks to the subsidies, the share of electric cars in registrations rose to 4.2 percent, and in September their share was eight percent. Representatives of the Association of Automobile Importers shared these datas at a press conference.
Sales of light commercial vehicles increased by five percent to 16,803 cars. Renault leads with 2,543 vans sold, second is Ford with 2,283 cars and third is Toyota, which sold 2,161 commercial vehicles. The most popular models are Renault Master and Iveco Daily.
Bus sales increased by almost 68 percent to 919 vehicles. In September, their sales more than doubled. The first is Iveco Bus with 412 registrations, followed by MAN and SOR.
Total registrations of new motorcycles increased by 8.1 percent to 25,157 machines. In the ninth month, they recorded an increase of 19.3 percent. Japan's Honda leads with 5,894 motorcycles sold, followed by China's CF Moto with 2,539 machines and third Yamaha sold 1,684 motorcycles.
