BTR: Number of institutionally managed rental buildings in Prague will grow

The rental market in the Czech Republic still consists mainly of investment apartments owned by individuals. BTR Consulting research shows that by 2030 there will be over 10,000 units.

There are currently 2,326 rental flats in institutionally managed new buildings on the Prague market. BTR Consulting research shows that by 2030 there will be over 10,000 units in at least 40 rental projects with at least 50 apartments per building. The most active companies on the BTR (Build to Rent) market include Trigema, AFI Home, SIKO, CIB, Passerinvest, Creditas Real Estate, and ČS Dostupné bydlení. The rental market in the Czech Republic still consists mainly of investment apartments owned by individuals. According to a May 2023 study by DataLinteligence and the Platform of Individual Landlords, there are a total of 223,000 apartments owned by approximately 71,000 private individuals.
