Total spending on support for the agricultural sector at current prices fell from CZK 75.5 billion to CZK 70.9 bn y/y. Cereal production reached 8 218.4 thousand tonnes. Cattle numbers increased by 1.1% to 1 421.3 thousand pcs. Total pork production fell by 5,7 % to 217,000 tonnes carcass weight. Agricultural producer prices increased by almost 32%. The 2022 State of Agriculture Report published by the Ministry of Agriculture also shows that the agricultural land fund totalled 4 197 thousand ha (53.2% of the country's area) as at December 31, 2022. There has been a reduction in the area by about 2.1 thousand ha (0.05%).
