Sharp rebound on positive economic outlook

The consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic rose to 91.2 in January 2024, up from a one-year low of 84.8 in the prior month, as the number of households expecting a deterioration of the overall economic situation for the next 12 months had decreased. On the other hand, the number of respondents expecting a worsening financial situation for the next 12 months has also lessened, as well as the views over the current circumstances. Meanwhile, assessments for making large purchases remained unchanged.
