Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) commenced mass production of the new generation Hyundai KONA Electric model in Nošovice. Among other things, it was necessary to modify all the more than 500 robots in the plant. The battery cells are produced by the Polish LG Energy Solution and assembled in the Mobis facility in Nošovice. HMMC expects the model's share of factory output to reach 15 % as early as 2023. 21,000 new generation cars are to be produced by the end of 2023; in 2024 there will be 50,000 cars manufactured.
