Industrial production in April 2023 grew by 1.2 % year-on-year in real  terms. It was 1.9 % lower month-on-month. The Czech Statistical Office informed about this, stating that the result was mainly influenced by last year's low comparative base in the production of motor vehicles. In a year-on-year comparison, their production increased by 30 %, month-on-month it was 5 % lower.

The value of new orders increased by 2.7 %: from abroad they decreased by 1.6 %, domestic ones increased by 11.3 %. The average registered number of employees in the field decreased by 1.7 %, the gross monthly nominal wage increased by 9.6 %.
