Six times champions in the national league, the Prague Lions are definitely one of the most productive american football teams in the Czech Republic. Therefore it was a natural step to enter the EFL with is the European equivalent of the American NFL. This however, brought the a need to significantly increase the budget, which in EFL can be up to ten times higher than the Czech league. Therefore, Prague Lions had to look for investors - and they found them in the US. "The main investor of the club is the California group Hundred Spires Capital, which holds a fifty percent stake in it " explained Prague Lions's coach Zach Harrod, an American who has lived in the Czech Republic for over twenty years.
