Consumer prices in the Czech Republic rose by 11.1 % y/y in May
2023, which was 1.6 pp less than in April. The Czech Statistical
Office reported on this, stating that the slowdown was mainly
influenced by the slowing down of prices in the housing and food
and non-alcoholic beverages sections. The only segment of the
consumer basket where prices fell was transport, mainly thanks to
falling fuel prices.
