Škoda Auto Scales Up EV Production with €1.2 Billion Investment

Škoda Auto, the Czech arm of the Volkswagen Group, has unveiled plans to invest €1.2 billion in electric vehicle (EV) production over the next three years.

The strategy includes expanding EV output at its main Mladá Boleslav plant and converting parts of its Kvasiny factory to accommodate electric models. The move responds to tightening EU emissions regulations and growing demand for EVs across Europe.

Škoda will introduce three new fully electric models by 2028, including a small SUV aimed at urban markets. This investment is set to increase demand for EV components, battery systems, lightweight materials, and digital vehicle technologies—offering fresh supply chain opportunities  across automotive and cleantech sectors.
