This sector consistently holds approximately 3rd position among the manufacturing sectors in the Czech Republic, accounting for over 13 % of total production, nearly 13 % of gross value added, and approximately 11 % of total employment in 2023.

Chemical industry products are supplied to a wide range of affiliated sectors, such as the automotive, construction, electronics and electrotechnics, food-processing, textile industries, civil engineering, packaging materials and others.
