The arms company STV Group based in Policka, Czech Republic, is set to deliver 3 000 ballistic vest plates to Israel. The Czech ministries have already granted required licenses for their export.
The Israeli government agency SIBAT requested this assistance from the Czech Ministry of Defence. Czech Minister of Defence, Jana Cernochova, stated that this may not be the last Czech aid to Israel and hinted a possibility of sending a military field hospital as well. Other opportunities in various industries may arise amid the change in demand during wartime.
STV Group manufactures not only ballistic vest plate designed to protect those wearing them but also ammunition of various calibers and repairs heavy military equipment. This quick deal serves an an excellent example of the strong relationship between Israel and the Czech Republic.
