India
At the end of January 2026, Czech med-tech startup Kardi AI exhibited their technology at Medical Fair India 2026 in New Delhi, one of the largest healthcare technology exhibitions in South Asia. The company presented a montiorig device with artificial-intelligence software for continuous monitoring and analysis of heart rhythm data from wearable devices, aimed at early detection of cardiovascular diseases and remote patient care.
In January 2026, one of the largest healthcare technology gatherings in South Asia — Medical Fair India — once again transformed New Delhi into a meeting point of global medicine, digital health, and innovation. Held from 29–31 January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan), the exhibition brought together hospitals, manufacturers, startups, policymakers, researchers and investors from around the world.
Among more than 500 exhibiting brands and over 18,000 visitors from 30+ countries was a young Czech med-tech company: Kardi AI.
Their participation marked not only a presentation of a new technology — but also a practical example of how Central European digital health innovation can integrate into one of the fastest-growing healthcare markets globally.
India’s healthcare system is undergoing a structural transformation. Rapid urbanisation, rising cardiovascular diseases, and shortages of medical personnel are pushing hospitals and insurers toward preventive and remote monitoring solutions. At the same time, the government strongly supports digitalisation and technology adoption in healthcare infrastructure.
Medical Fair India reflects exactly this transition. The event is considered a major industry platform for industry collaboration, technology exchange and healthcare policy dialogue, connecting stakeholders from government, hospitals, medical device firms, startups and research institutions. Dedicated programmes, including digital-health startup platforms, are specifically designed to showcase AI-supported medical technologies.
This ecosystem is precisely where Kardi AI fits.
Unlike many trade fairs where companies mainly meet distributors, Medical Fair India operates as a multi-layered healthcare ecosystem platform. Hospitals, technology integrators, insurers, regulators, and startup investors all attend — and this significantly shaped Kardi AI’s experience.
The success of Kardi AI highlights a wider opportunity for Czech healthcare innovators. India is no longer only a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub; it is becoming a major digital healthcare market. Trade fairs like Medical Fair India function as entry gateways because they gather the entire healthcare value chain — from policymakers to startups — in one place. For smaller European companies, this environment shortens market-entry timelines dramatically. Instead of months of individual meetings, three days of structured networking can establish the first commercial pathways.
