High Tech NL and the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, launching a new phase of bilateral cooperation in the semiconductor sector.
At Czech Semicon Days 2026 in Prague, High Tech NL and the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the semiconductor sector. The signing ceremony was attended by Mina Noor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Czech Republic, underlining the strategic importance of the partnership for both countries as well as for Europe’s broader technology and industrial agenda.
The agreement establishes a joint expert platform to support long-term collaboration between the Dutch and Czech semiconductor ecosystems. By combining the Czech Republic’s strong industrial base, particularly in automotive and electronics, with the Netherlands’ global leadership in lithography, photonics, semiconductor equipment, and advanced chip design, the partnership is set to deliver strong complementary synergies. The cooperation will focus on joint research, development and innovation activities, strengthening supply chains, and coordinated engagement in key European initiatives such as IPCEI AST and the forthcoming Chips Act 2.
The Memorandum of Understanding also creates a framework for concrete joint actions, including coordinated presentations at leading global industry events such as SEMICON. Additional areas of cooperation will include energy grid integration, artificial intelligence, and power electronics. The platform is expected to facilitate systematic knowledge sharing, identify new business and research opportunities, and contribute to strengthening the resilience and technological sovereignty of the European semiconductor industry, while further enhancing the Czech Republic’s position within key EU initiatives.
