Czech AI Startup ValkaAI Targets Global Streaming Market with €12 Million Investment

Czech startup ValkaAI has raised €12 million to develop real-time AI avatars for streaming, sports commentary and digital entertainment, highlighting Czechia’s growing role in generative AI and media technology.

Czech startup ValkaAI has raised €12 million, approximately 300 million CZK, in a pre-seed investment round. According to Czech media, this is one of the largest early-stage startup investments in the region. The company is developing interactive real-time AI avatars for entertainment and streaming applications.

ValkaAI was founded by entrepreneurs with experience from the Czech technology scale-up Oddin.gg, which focuses on esports betting and data solutions. The startup’s technology aims to enable digital avatars to react to content in real time, including sports matches and other entertainment formats.

The investment round was backed mainly by Czech investors, including J&T Ventures, Tensor Ventures, BD Partners, Fond Naše Česko and Rockaway Ventures, which led the round. The size of the investment is notable because ValkaAI is still at a very early stage, which underlines the investor confidence in the global potential of AI-driven entertainment technologies.

The startup is entering a market where streaming platforms, sports broadcasters, gaming companies and digital media firms are looking for new ways to personalize content and boost audience engagement. Real-time AI avatars could be used to create localized commentary, interactive hosts, virtual presenters or personalized entertainment experiences for different audiences and languages.

For international companies, ValkaAI is an example of how Czech technology firms are entering fast-growing global segments such as generative AI, real-time content, streaming, sports entertainment and virtual personalities. The deal also shows the increasing ability of the Czech startup ecosystem to finance ambitious AI companies at the early stages.

The company’s focus also reflects a wider trend in the media and entertainment industry, where artificial intelligence is becoming part of content production, distribution and user interaction. If successful, ValkaAI could position Czechia as a relevant source of innovation in AI-powered entertainment, not only as a provider of technical talent but also as a home for globally oriented products.
