Vietjet Air plans to launch the Hanoi–Prague route in July 2026

Vietjet Air will launch a twice-weekly Hanoi-Prague route, aiming to expand links between Vietnam and Central Europe.

Vietjet Air is moving ahead with plans to inaugurate a new route between Hanoi and Prague, with a technical stop in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This development marks an important milestone in deepening aviation connectivity and economic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

The route, which has received official approval from Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee, is scheduled to commence on July 11, 2026. It will operate twice weekly using wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft on the Hanoi–Almaty–Prague itinerary.

The new route is expected to greatly benefit the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, while boosting tourism, business exchanges, and bilateral trade. Improved connectivity will facilitate the efficient movement of people and goods, opening new opportunities for Vietnamese exporters to access the European market and for Czech businesses to explore opportunities in Vietnam.

Preparations for the inaugural flight are currently underway.
