Lukáš Jabůrek, a leading Czech glass artist and designer. Founder of Lukas Jaburek Studio.
Masterfully combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design in his work. Until 2018, he
served as the artistic director of the prestigious Moser glassworks, after which he embarked
on his own artistic journey. He returned to his native region of the Ore Mountains, where he is
reviving extinct glassmaking traditions. He is the recipient of the Czech Grand Design 2012
Public Award. His work is characterized by a distinctive style – he works with color, optics,
and the depth of glass, into which he inserts stories, emotions, and subtle symbolism. He
perceives glass as a material that never lies and can tell stories without words.
I create precise cut decorative objects and objects, limited editions and unique works of
art for architecture. I design glass for hand and machine glass production. I cooperate with
leading Czech glassworks and renowned brands. The most important references include
Moser glassworks, Květná glassworks, Lasvit Ajeto, Preciosa, Pilsner Urquell brewery, Rudolf
Jelínek distilleries, Prague Castle, Czech embassies and consulates.
