NANOVO

Nanovo revitalizes iconic post-war Czechoslovak design, breathing new life into historical craftsmanship for modern interiors.

Nanovo revitalizes iconic post-war Czechoslovak design, blending historical craftsmanship with modern interiors. With a deep respect for original materials, proportions, and artisanal techniques, we bring forgotten design classics back to life—proving their timeless appeal and relevance today. Our collection features Czechoslovak design icons, meticulously reintroduced with attention to detail and historical accuracy:

Jawa Light (1961)
Originally designed as a ceiling chandelier for the House of Culture in Týnec nad Sázavou, this distinctive lighting piece was crafted by Jawa factory workers. Only eight original pieces were ever produced, making it a rare industrial design artifact. Nanovo has faithfully recreated this unique light fixture in a limited edition of just 10 pieces, precisely following the original 1961 specifications.

ÚLUV 4159-2 Floor Lamp (1960s)
A tribute to the craftsmanship of ÚLUV (The Centre for Folk Art Production), an institution that preserved and promoted Czechoslovak artisan traditions. ÚLUV supported artists in textiles, ceramics, and furniture, ensuring that traditional techniques met modern design principles. Handmade in the Czech Republic, our replica stays true to the original cherry wood tripod and hand-blown milk glass shade, which diffuses light softly and elegantly.

T2407 Armchair (1979)
Designed by Viliam Chlebo, a Slovak architect and furniture designer, the T2407 armchair was part of his collection for Kodreta Myjava, which won the Gold Medal for Design at the 1980 Consumer Goods Retail Exhibition in Brno. The chair was also handpicked by architect Karel Prager for the prestigious interior of the brutalist New Stage of the National Theatre in Prague. For this special space, Chlebo and Prager refined the original canvas-upholstered version, replacing it with luxurious leather upholstery. Nanovo has revived this exclusive version with a chrome metal frame and leather upholstery, preserving its sophisticated aesthetic.

At Nanovo, we believe that great design never fades. By reviving these mid-century masterpieces, we bridge the past and present—offering both collectors and design enthusiasts the opportunity to own a piece of history.
