The Kubák family still uses natural materials such as wool, cotton or linen to make their designer blankets, bedspreads and tablecloths. The approach of this family-run company pays homage to tradition, but as you can see for yourself, it can create
The family company Tkalcovna Kubák Strmilov has been working with a long tradition since 1870 when the company was founded by the great-grandfather of the current owner. Since then, the company has been handed down from father to son. Currently, the company mainly produces designer home textiles such as blankets, bedspreads, tablecloths, bed linen, decorative fabrics and more. Only 100% natural materials are used for production, namely wool, cotton and linen. The predominantly Czech wool is processed here from the fleece to the finished product. The uniqueness of the products lies not only in the quality of natural materials, their careful hand processing and production on preserved original looms, but above all, in the extended family tradition and experience. Throughout the company's history, we have collaborated with artists, designers, architects and fashion designers to create textiles with added aesthetic timeless value. We have preserved the original manufacturing processes and family know-how throughout the production. Almost all our machines are historic. Production on them is slow, but all the more honest. In addition, there is a huge amount of handwork behind every product.
