Company Energo-Pro, owned by czech billionaire Jaromír Tesara, bought 7 smaller hydroelectric power plants in Brazil.
The power plants are on rivers Lambari, Pomba, Grande and Verde and were sold by Canadian investment group Brookfield. The price for this acquisition has not yet been disclosed, but when the company made a similar investment in Spain, it paid 7.5 billion Czech Crowns.
Energo-Pro currently has investments in this segment also in Bulgaria, Georgia, Turkey and Spain and also has power plants on the Elbe River in Czechia. By expanding its portfolio to Brazil, the group promises greater diversification of the risks associated with this segment.
