Czechia shines at the MEDICA trade fair in Germany

At this year's edition of the world's largest healthcare trade fair MEDICA, which took place from November 17 to 20 in Düsseldorf, 14 Czech companies presented themselves as part of a Czech national stand.

Support for Czech exhibitors was expressed at the ceremonial opening of the exhibition on November 17 by Kristina Larischová, Consul General of Czechia in Düsseldorf, and Jan Kavalírek, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and Government Commissioner for AI. "Artificial intelligence represents a fundamental opportunity for the modernization of healthcare. MEDICA is a place where cutting-edge technologies and regulations meet, and it is crucial for us to be there. Czech companies are proving here that we are among the European leaders in innovation," said Kavalírek after the visit.

The 3D hospital project was presented the following day by AVDZP representative Petr Hájek, whose contribution was followed up by short presentation slots by Czech companies. They presented their portfolio of healthcare technologies in the form of elevator pitches (flash presentations). Start-up companies that offered innovative products for hospital, emergency or diagnostic practice also received great recognition.

Another opportunity for Czech companies to gain new business contacts will be at the next MEDICA and COMPAMED fairs on November 16-19, 2026.
