Czech automotive industry is blooming.
Production of passenger cars in Czechia increased by 4.9 percent year-on-year to a record 774,310 cars in the first half of 2024, the Czech Automobile Industry Association announced in July. This is the highest output recorded in the country’s modern history.
Škoda Auto, the largest domestic carmaker, produced 473,582 passenger cars from January to June, up 2 percent year-on-year. Production at Hyundai’s Nošovice plant fell by 0.6 percent to 175,950 vehicles, while output at Toyota’s Kolín plant rose by 28.6 percent to 124,778 cars.
