FedEx opens logistics facility in Czech Republic

The company's investment is mainly motivated by the central location of Czechia in the heart of the European market.

FedEx has opened a new 2,600m2 facility in Plzeň, Czech Republic, that will help to company meet the increasing demand for logistics, e-commerce and local manufacturing in Central and Eastern Europe.

The facility features a warehouse and office space, including 23 courier van docking bays and eight additional docks for line-haul vehicles. A key innovation is its motorized belt sorter with DIM capabilities, which boosts operational efficiency. Additionally, the facility is equipped with eco-friendly photovoltaic panels and electric vehicle charging stations.

“Our new facility in Plzeň is part of a series of investments in Central and Eastern Europe to support regional economic growth and expand FedEx’s presence there.

The Plzeň facility is integrated into FedEx’s extensive European road network, with direct routes to major logistics centers in Nuremberg, Vienna and Hanover. It also connects to the FedEx Air Network via Prague Airport, enabling swift, reliable delivery services across Europe and globally.
