Confidence amongst businesses is most felt across services, construction and trade.
According to the Czech Statistical Office’s business cycle survey for August 2025, the composite business confidence indicator climbed to 101.5, with robust gains in services (+5.9 points), construction (+1.2 points), and trade (+1.1 points). Industrial sector sentiment held steady after a strong early summer.
Despite a drop in consumer confidence due to inflation and cautious household spending, Czech businesses are planning investments and seeking new partnerships. This wave of sector-wide optimism is catalysing supply chain upgrades, greater international connectivity, and expanding export capacity—positioning Czechia as a resilient and forward-looking market for UK and global firms.
