Czech industrial production rebounded strongly in November, rising 5.7 percent year on year, the fastest pace in more than three years.
The growth surprised markets and was driven mainly by manufacturing, particularly automotive, metal products and electrical equipment, signalling a broader recovery in the industrial base.
Foreign demand was a key driver, with new industrial orders increasing, especially from export markets. While industrial employment continued to edge down, the pace of decline has slowed, suggesting stabilisation after a prolonged downturn.
For UK businesses, the data point to renewed momentum in Central European manufacturing, strengthening the case for Czechia as a resilient production and supply-chain partner amid an uneven European recovery.
