Czech Republic Sees Major Aerospace Investment Boost

PBS Group announces 700 million CZK expansion of its Velká Bíteš facility to meet booming global demand for jet engines and aerospace components.

The aerospace manufacturer PBS Group is investing over 700 million CZK into its Velká Bíteš facility to increase the production of jet engines for unmanned systems and light aircraft. This investment reflects the rising global demand for these products, with customers from dozens of foreign markets. The facility has seen an 800% increase in jet engine production over the past three years.

At its Velká Bíteš facility, PBS is boosting production capacity while developing next-generation technologies, including its new TJ200 engine set to debut at the Paris Air Show. The plant also manufactures critical components for significant aerospace players like Lockheed Martin's F-35. And cooperates, for example, with the American aircraft engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney.

Furthermore, PBS Group is set to begin jet engine production in the U.S. this month, aligning with its strategic growth objectives. Despite recent trade tariffs, company executives confirm that the Czech and American operations remain on track, with the Velká Bíteš workforce growing by 100 employees in the past year alone.
