The European Investment Fund has already invested money in 17 Czech funds. It is now opening a billion-dollar fund with Tensor Ventures.
Genesis Capital, Kaya, Credo, N1 or Espira Investments. These are a few of the 17 Czech funds in which the European Investment Fund (EIF) has injected capital. They are now joined by another domestic player that wants to use public money to invest in young startups that focus on complex technologies.
The Czech domestic investment company Tensor Ventures will create a co-investment fund to which up to 20 million EUR will be sent by the EIF through a special national programme. Tensor plans to raise funds from private investors. In total, it plans to have more than 40 million EUR at its disposal.
