Retigo Beer Day Returned to London as a Roaring Success

The annual event showcased Czech tradition paired with innovation.

The 10th edition of the highly successful Retigo Beer Day, orchestrated by CzechTrade UK, took place on 4 September 2025 in London—seamlessly bringing together Czech tradition and modern technology for the British market. The day began with a dedicated morning session focused on intensive meetings between the Czech company Retigo, renowned manufacturer of combi steam ovens, and key British business partners. The afternoon festivities unfolded in the lush garden of the Czech Embassy, where more than 300 guests gathered—ranging from local distributors and restaurant/bar owners to brewery representatives and purchasing managers from major retail chains. Attendees had the unique opportunity to sample craft beers from nine distinguished Czech breweries: Primátor, Kutná Hora, Pivovar Cvikov, Lucky Bastard, Holba, Bohemia Regent, Sibeeria Brewery, Jarošovský pivovar, and Permon. Both on-trade and off-trade segments were strongly represented, reflecting the broad retail and hospitality interest in authentic Czech beer. A vibrant atmosphere was set with live saxophone music and culinary demonstrations by Retigo’s master chefs. Michal Mráček’s masterclass on the art of the perfect Czech pour proved especially popular, drawing crowds keen to master this hallmark of pub culture. This year’s packed attendance, outstanding networking, and genuine enthusiasm from key business players underscored the Czech Republic’s growing export potential in both brewing and professional kitchen technology - a unique combination catering to a broad customer base across the hospitality industry and beyond. The event not only promoted the quality and tradition of Czech products but further solidified vital trade links between Czech producers and the UK’s dynamic hospitality and retail sectors.
