The radar and surveillance systems manufacturer reported another exceptionally successful year.
The company’s net profit rose by more than a third year-on-year to nearly €78 million, while revenues exceeded €168 million. Over 80 percent of income comes from international contracts, where the company continues to strengthen its position in both the civil and military sectors.
ERA develops, manufactures, and implements systems for civilian and military use. Its best-known product is the passive surveillance system VERA-NG, capable of detecting and identifying targets in the air, on land, and at sea. “We achieved success in both market segments. In the civil sector, focused on air traffic management, we recorded the highest volume of contracted business in the company’s history, thereby confirming ERA’s dominant position in multilateration-based surveillance systems,” said Ondřej Chlost, Chairman of the Board.
Headquartered in Pardubice, ERA operates five facilities across the Czech Republic. Due to a surge in orders, the company had to lease external premises and introduce two shared offices for employees working remotely. In 2024, ERA employed an average of 435 staff, 51 more than the previous year, with one-third working in research and development. Since 2011, ERA has been part of the defense group Omnipol. From this year’s profit, €28 million was allocated for dividend payouts.
