WHY BALA 21?

My name is Hanka Krásová, and in my 50s, I decided to launch a startup focused on improving the microbiome, mood, and health of as many people as possible. My dream was to bring a comprehensive line of probiotic products to the world. From drinks for children, to probiotic gum for teenagers, to collagen and daily doses of probiotic protein for seniors, to help them maintain muscle mass.

How do we plan to achieve this?

We’ve developed a comprehensive line of kombucha-based probiotic products for you. These products aim to optimize your gut microbiome, often referred to as our “second brain.” When balanced, you can look forward to better sleep, increased physical activity, clearer thinking, and improved social relationships. Our digestion affects absolutely everything. It’s sad to realize that most of us no longer even remember what it’s like to feel truly well, both physically and mentally.

My childhood spent among the vineyards in picturesque Pálava introduced me to the secrets of fermenting grape juice into wine. However, during the COVID period, when I was feeling a bit bored, fate led me to become fascinated with kombucha. This ancient fermented beverage is made by fermenting tea and sugar using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, known as a SCOBY.

Our dietary supplements are truly unique because we ferment our kombucha for longer than usual. This eliminates the presence of alcohol and yeast, which can cause bloating or allergies. Thanks to the extended fermentation process, our probiotic drink remains stable even at room temperature.

And why the name BALA 21?

In Sanskrit, BALA symbolizes youth, strength, and mental energy. The number 21 emphasizes that a healthy microbiome is the key to 21st-century health.
