Our brand’s vision is to completely transform the condiment market—which is currently dominated by highly processed industrial sauces—and instead show people a path that is rooted in respect for whole foods and amazing flavors.

Would you like to teach your family to eat healthier, simple vegetable dishes, but don’t know how to easily add flavor and zest to them? Do you miss seasonings on the market that are free of artificial preservatives and stabilizers and that can be beneficial to your body? Do you like to use local Czech products and ingredients?

We had you in mind when we created our unique Fermato products. We, too, were tired of having to compromise between taste, quality, and ease of preparation, so we started producing fermented tomato sauces, flavored salts, Sichuan chili oils, and Orleans vinegars in South Moravia. Our goal is to help people rediscover the joy of eating, return to basic foods, and stop consuming products that are full of chemicals.

One of the main methods we use to prepare our products is the time-tested process of fermentation. Fermenting food improves its digestibility and gives it that distinctive, addictive umami flavor (known as “natural glutamate”). The umami flavor is often what gives food its greatest appeal—it makes you want to keep eating and plays a key role, for example, in Japanese cuisine, which inspired us in the production of our products. Unlike Japanese products, however, many of our products are based on tomatoes (hence the brand name FERmented toMATO).
 
Tomatoes are one of the foods with the highest content of natural glutamate and thus this addictive umami flavor, which can elevate any meal.

Our Products

The flagship product in our lineup is the unique fermented Fermato dressing. Thanks to fermentation, it retains the freshness and sweetness of tomatoes while also developing that addictive umami flavor we mentioned earlier. The addition of Orléans apple cider vinegar makes it stable, allowing it to last up to a year at room temperature (up to 21 °C).
 
Fermato dressings are salty, sweet, and tangy, making them truly versatile, but they are most popular as dressings for vegetable salads. Using them is incredibly simple—just chop the vegetables, drizzle with Fermato, and a deliciously flavored meal is ready in no time. However, you can use the dressings not only on vegetables but also in sauces, soups, or marinades. We currently offer Fermato dressings in Classic, Basil, Lemon, Shiitake, Beet, and Chili varieties, but we enjoy constantly experimenting and coming up with new fermented flavors.
 
In addition to our unique sauces, we also offer other fantastic products that are bursting with freshness, zing, and, above all, umami flavor. To make the most of our tomatoes, we’ve created Šimráto flavored salt and Chilli Crunch Sichuan oil. These natural seasonings are made from the pulp left over after straining Fermato sauces, and they are wonderfully flavored products that add a kick to any dish. You can use them on meat, rice, noodles, or salad, and we guarantee that they will elevate your meal to a whole new level—you won’t need any other seasonings.
