CSG expands AI activities in Israel and aviation

Czechoslovak Group launches JATISmro and Tendrio to apply AI in maintenance planning and tender analysis. Startup acquisitions in focus.

Czechoslovak Group (CSG), the industrial holding led by Michal Strnad, has announced the formation of a new AI-focused subdivision – CSG AI – and two companies under its umbrella: JATISmro and Tendrio. Both entities will develop and deploy artificial intelligence solutions aimed at aircraft maintenance optimization and automated analysis of tender documentation.

The technologies behind the two firms have been in development for several years within CSG’s software subsidiary CS Soft. The new ventures will operate under CSG Aerospace, the group's division for aviation technologies. The operational lead has been entrusted to Tomáš Richtr, COO at CS Soft.

AI systems to streamline aircraft servicing and data processing

JATISmro specializes in predictive maintenance for aircraft. It uses machine learning to calculate optimal maintenance workflows based on project phase, spare parts availability, and manpower capacity – effectively reducing aircraft downtime and increasing operational efficiency.

Meanwhile, Tendrio provides automated data structuring and AI-supported interpretation of tender requirements. The system helps manufacturers and integrators navigate complex military and aerospace procurement procedures more effectively, cutting down on manual data processing.

Strategic focus on Israeli and global tech ecosystems

CSG AI is headquartered in Prague, but its growth strategy includes active presence in Israel, a global hub for AI innovation. The holding is exploring potential acquisitions and partnerships with local startups specializing in aerospace and defense applications of AI. According to CSG representatives, Israel offers not only technical expertise but also valuable experience with dual-use technologies.

Export opportunities for Czech tech firms

The emergence of CSG AI highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in the defense and aviation sectors – areas where Czech companies can offer advanced software, engineering services, and integration capabilities. Demand is rising for predictive systems, data analytics, and automation tools across international procurement programs.
