At Expo 2025 in Osaka, Czechia is showcasing its technological prowess through live demonstrations of autonomous systems and smart mobility solutions. From emergency-response drones and infrastructure diagnostics to a student-designed driverless electric race car, the Czech Pavilion underscores how even smaller nations can lead in tech—delivering real-world innovation on a global stage.

A Showcase of Smart Mobility and Autonomous Systems

The pavilion’s week-long program launched with an emphasis on public safety and emergency response. Demonstrations included use of drones and inspection tools for fire brigades to assess bridges and dams, aerial mapping of national parks, and live interventions by emergency services—all developed by the Information Technology Administration of the City of Plzeň.Radio Prague International These systems are already in institutional use across the Czech Republic.

Spotlight on Student Innovation: CTU24

On the second day, attention shifted to the next generation of innovators. A student team from the Czech Technical University in Prague (e-Force Prague Formula) unveiled their autonomous electric race car, the CTU24. Visitors were offered a behind-the-scenes look, including live remote vehicle control and diagnostic demos.

Beyond Technology: The Pavilion Experience

Named TripAthenaeum, the Czech Pavilion impresses not only with technological innovation but also with its design and hospitality. The architecturally striking pavilion, constructed in a spiral form from wood and glass, has welcomed over 500,000 visitors thus far. Ondřej Soška, General Commissioner, noted that visitors consistently praise the combination of culture, interactivity, and Czech hospitality.

The Global Stage and Strategic Impact

Calling World Expos the “Olympic Games of Business, Academia and Innovations,” Soška emphasized that the event offers Czechia a platform to showcase its results and forge international connections. Participation has drawn interest from not only the general public but also business partners, diplomats, and political figures.
