Bene Meat Technologies, established in 2020, has received the Industrie Award at the Česká hlava (Czech Head) ceremony, recognizing its achievements in biotechnology. The company pioneered cultivated meat, creating a nutrient-rich medium free from animal-derived ingredients. This innovation has allowed them to grow animal cells sustainably and ethically, addressing modern demands for environmentally friendly and humane food solutions.

The company has already registered its product, "Cultivated cells of mammalian origin," as a pet food ingredient, marking a European first. Looking ahead, Bene Meat plans to scale production to 500 kilograms of cultivated meat daily by 2025, potentially generating revenues in the tens of millions of Czech crowns. Their next milestone involves gaining European Food Safety Authority approval to offer cultivated meat for human consumption.
