The industrial-technological group CSG, owned by Czech entrepreneur Michal Strnad, is expanding its activities into the field of advanced weapon systems and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). A key role in this segment will be played by the newly established company AviaNera Technologies a.s. (AviaNera), which will oversee the development, production, and trade of UAS technologies.
AviaNera will be closely connected with Excalibur International a.s. from the beginning, a leading trading agency of the CSG group, which trades globally with products from CSG companies and their partners and also has extensive experience in managing complex projects in the field of advanced defense systems.
"Our goal is to become a significant player in the field of military UAS and advanced weapon systems. After managing to build a strong position in the small-caliber ammunition sector within a few years, we are ambitious to achieve something similar in the high-tech defense technology segment," says Michal Strnad, owner and CEO of the CSG group.
AviaNera will be led by experienced manager Pavel Čechal, who joined CSG from the position of CEO at PBS Group. Under his leadership, the company is focusing on quickly building development and manufacturing capabilities in the field of UAS and their key components. “Just like in other sectors, we strive for maximum vertical integration so that we can deliver final products and comprehensive systems developed and manufactured directly by us. At the same time, we will leverage synergies with CSG companies, which are active, for example, in ammunition production or software solutions for drone operations,” explains Pavel Čechal.
Considering the expected dynamic growth of the defense UAS market and the increasing demand for powerful, compact, and efficient propulsion systems, this segment offers exceptionally strong market potential. "AviaNera has a strategic opportunity to become a key supplier in the field of next-generation propulsion units for military unmanned applications," concludes Pavel Čechal.
