The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has advanced to 49th place in the Financial Times 2024 European Business School Rankings, reflecting its growing prominence in the European academic landscape.
The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 49th position in the Financial Times 2024 European Business School Rankings, climbing three spots from the previous year and over ten since 2022. This ascent underscores VŠE's commitment to academic excellence and its expanding influence within Europe. Dean Jiří Hnilica of the Faculty of Business Administration attributes this success to the university's CEMS International Management program, which plays a pivotal role in preparing graduates for the global job market.
In addition to the Financial Times recognition, VŠE was recently named the top business university in Central and Eastern Europe by the Eduniversal Best Business School Ranking 2024, which evaluates institutions worldwide. Despite these accolades, VŠE did not feature in the top 1,000 of the 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, where other Czech institutions like Charles University and Masaryk University were ranked higher. Nevertheless, VŠE remains a popular destination for international students, enrolling approximately 1,500 foreign students annually, with around 800 participating in exchange programs.
