Czech Biotech Companies Presented at BioJapan 2026 in Yokohama

Czech biotechnology companies returned after a one-year break to BioJapan, one of the most important industry events of its kind in Asia.

Held in Yokohama, Japan, from 7 to 9 October 2026, the 40th edition of BioJapan once again confirmed its position as Japan’s leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical exhibition and one of the largest events of its kind in Asia. As in previous years, it provided a unique platform for networking among representatives of pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology start-ups, research institutions, investors, and organizations supporting technology transfer and international cooperation.

BioJapan has built its reputation as a key networking event for establishing business partnerships, licensing agreements, and research and development collaborations largely thanks to its extensive system of pre-arranged business meetings, which ranks the exhibition among the most effective matchmaking platforms in Asia. Running alongside BioJapan were the parallel exhibitions Regenerative Medicine JAPAN, focused on regenerative medicine and advanced therapeutic approaches, and healthTECH JAPAN, which connects healthcare and digital technologies. According to the organizers, the combined attendance of all three events reached 22,835 visitors.

As part of the Czech national pavilion organized by the CzechTrade Japan, three companies active in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, and related technologies showcased their solutions this year.

Adalid Sciences presented its activities in gene therapy and its patented XMAN lipid nanoparticle technology for the safe delivery of DNA and RNA into cells. Bene Meat Technologies sought new partnerships while presenting solutions for the industrial production of cultivated meat, including a comprehensive platform covering cell lines, cultivation media, and scalable manufacturing processes. Last but not least, FYSCON’s NanoBioTech division showcased advanced equipment for the additive manufacturing of micro- and nanofibrous polymer systems used, among other applications, in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Although it is still too early to assess the concrete outcomes of the event, positive feedback from the participating companies regarding the quality of the meetings confirms that BioJapan remains one of the most important gateways to the Japanese and broader Asian markets for companies active in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical technologies.
