Czech Participation at the International Industrial Fair 2025 in Kobe

The companies AtomTrace and TOS VARNSDORF were showcased at the International Industrial Fair 2025 within the European pavilion, organized by the Kobe City Office in cooperation with the CzechTrade Osaka Office.

The International Industrial Fair is one of the most important industrial events in the Kansai region and has long served as a platform for presenting new technologies and solutions in engineering and industrial innovation. The event provides a meeting place for manufacturers, suppliers, and public-sector representatives, fostering connections between Japanese and international companies.

This year’s edition, held on September 4–5, 2025 at the Kobe International Exhibition Hall, attracted more than 500 exhibitors from Japan and abroad. According to the organizers, the fair was attended by 14,700 visitors from industry, government, and the general public. The joint European exhibition featured private companies and government organizations from the Czech Republic, France, Germany, and Ukraine.

The Brno-based company AtomTrace specializes in the development and production of devices utilizing the laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) method for rapid and non-destructive chemical material analysis. Its technologies are applied in fields such as industrial quality control, environmental analysis, and advanced material research.

AtomTrace participated in the fair through its Japanese distributor, Tokyo Instruments. However, this was not the company’s only major activity on the Japanese market this year. Together with its partner, the company also hosted four workshops at the Czech national pavilion during EXPO 2025, offering professionals an in-depth look at the technology’s applications across different industrial sectors.

TOS VARNSDORF, a traditional manufacturer of machine tools, presented to the Japanese audience its wide portfolio of horizontal and vertical machine tools, milling machines, and specialized CNC machines, which are used in the automotive, aerospace, and engineering industries. The company operates a subsidiary in China and carries out numerous export activities in Southeast Asia. Looking ahead, it aims to supply its machines to Japanese customers both in their domestic market and through cooperation in third countries.
