Czech Pavilion Opens at Expo 2025 in Osaka

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský and Expo Commissioner General Ondřej Šošťka officially opened the Czech National Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka.

The Czech Pavilion, designed by Apropos Architects, is a transparent glass structure with a spiraling 260-metre path, symbolizing growth and development. It draws inspiration from the Czech presence at Expo 1970 in Osaka and showcases Czech creativity through art, innovation, and craftsmanship — including tributes to Alfons Mucha and traditional Czech glass.

In addition to cultural performances by the Czech Philharmonic, Cirk La Putyka, and Alfa Theatre from Plzeň, the pavilion will also host numerous B2B events and seminars on weekdays. These activities aim to foster connections between Czech, Japanese, and international entrepreneurs, creating opportunities for new business partnerships and global collaboration.
