The opening of a new R&D center by Elmos Semiconductor SE highlights the growing importance of Czech engineering talent in the development of advanced semiconductor solutions.
The German semiconductor company Elmos Semiconductor SE has opened a new research and development center in Brno, further strengthening Czechia’s position as an important technology hub in Central Europe. Launched on 1 November, the new facility expands Elmos’s development activities in the region and builds on Brno’s long-standing reputation in microelectronics, chip design and engineering talent.
The Brno team focuses on product architecture as well as analog mixed-signal, digital design and test engineering, which are key areas for the development of future semiconductor solutions used primarily in the automotive sector. According to the company, the new center will become part of Elmos’s broader European and Asian R&D network, supporting innovation in advanced driver assistance systems, electromobility and other emerging technology fields, while also contributing to the further development of the local high-tech ecosystem.
