Škoda Auto Strengthens Global Growth and Prepares New Electric Models for 2026

Following record results in 2025, Škoda Auto continues to accelerate its global growth and electrification strategy. Several new electric models scheduled for 2026 will further strengthen the company’s position in international markets.

The Czech automotive manufacturer Škoda Auto, part of the Volkswagen Group, recorded another successful year in 2025 with more than 1.04 million vehicles delivered worldwide. This represents a significant year on year increase and confirms the company’s strong position in global markets. Demand remained particularly strong in Europe, where Škoda Auto ranked among the leading automotive brands.

Electrified vehicles played an increasingly important role in the company’s growth. Deliveries of battery electric vehicles more than doubled compared with the previous year, while plug in hybrid models also recorded strong growth. As a result, a growing share of vehicles delivered in Europe now feature an electrified powertrain. Established models such as Octavia, Kodiaq, Kamiq and Fabia remain key pillars of the brand’s global portfolio, while electric models such as Enyaq continue to gain popularity.

At the same time, Škoda Auto continues to strengthen its presence in international markets. The company has recorded particularly strong growth in India and is expanding its activities across Southeast Asia. The recent launch of local production in Vietnam represents an important milestone in the company’s strategy to further develop its presence in the ASEAN region and build closer partnerships with regional distributors and suppliers.

Looking ahead, 2026 will mark an important step in the brand’s electrification strategy. Škoda Auto plans to introduce two new fully electric models, the compact urban crossover Epiq and the large seven seat SUV Vision 7S based model. With these additions the company will effectively double its electric portfolio and continue to develop long term partnerships in global markets, including Asia.
